Last updated: 24 May 2026
This policy explains what personal data Big Sessions collects, why we collect it, and your rights over it. Big Sessions is operated by Will Mac (the "data controller"), based in Liverpool, United Kingdom. If you have any questions, contact hello@bigsessions.co.uk.
01 Who we are
Big Sessions provides online fitness coaching, downloadable training and nutrition guides, and related content. For data protection purposes, the data controller is Will Mac, trading as Big Sessions, contactable at hello@bigsessions.co.uk.
02 What we collect
- Information you give us — your name and email address when you join a guide waitlist or newsletter; details you provide in a coaching application or enquiry (goals, training history, and similar).
- Purchase information — when you buy a product, payment is processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of your purchase and your email, but we do not store your full card details.
- Usage information — pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location (from your IP address), referring source, and similar analytics data collected via cookies and similar technologies.
03 How we use your data
- To deliver the guides, programmes, or coaching you request.
- To send marketing emails about our products and content, where you have consented.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
04 Legal bases
Under UK GDPR we rely on:
- Consent — for marketing emails and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Contract — to deliver products and services you have purchased.
- Legitimate interests — to run and secure the site and understand its use, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — for tax and accounting records.
05 Who we share it with
We use trusted third-party providers who process data on our behalf:
- Klaviyo — email marketing and on-site analytics.
- Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and order fulfilment.
- Calendly — booking consultation calls.
- Google Forms — coaching application intake.
- Netlify — website hosting.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
06 International transfers
Some providers (such as Klaviyo) are based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent measures.
07 How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes above — for marketing, until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it; for purchases, as long as required for tax and accounting (normally six years).
08 Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe from emails).
To exercise any of these, email hello@bigsessions.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
09 Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to manage them.
